Hogle Zoo Fieldtrip

Holy Cow or should I say Holy Zebra, I had so much fun today on our fieldtrip I wanted to keep all you cute superkids forever. It was fun to see all the animals that we talk about so much. The animals really seemed to put on a show for us. We only wish we had a bit more time. I want to thank Tara, Emilee and Christina for joining in on the fun. I couldn't have done it without you. Remember there is no school on Monday so we will see you on Wednesday the 5th. Love ya all, Ms. Kristi

Valentines Day Party

Wahoo! Who doesn't love a good party. A party with candy, cookies, friends, and fun! Well I know of 8 kids that loved the party we had today. Today we celebrated the love in the world. We expressed to each other how much we appreciate each other. The cookies we made and decorated was really yummy and we learned a new sharing song. Thanks kiddos for being so great.

Mailing some love

Today we had a great time sending those we love a little valentine created by ourselves. As we did this we learned what things we have to have on an envelope for the mailman to be able to deliver the package or envelope. We learned to put the red flag up on the mailbox so the postman knows there is something to deliver. It was fun creating something for someone we love then we played the little hearts are jumping game.

Fishy Fishy Feb 6th

Did you know that fish are backboned animals. They are also coldblooded animals that use their fins gills to turn in the water. They can live in lakes, oceans, streams, ponds, and fish bowls. They can be great pets. They can be all different colors. Most fish are eatible, yummy, and very good for your body. These are the things we learned in preschool today about fish. We went fishing and we all caught a fish- we loved that.

Different Homes

Today we learned how there are many different kind of homes in our world. There are homes made of sand, shells, wood and water. We learned alot about bee's and hives. We learned a little fingerplay that goes like this. This is my behive, (make fist with one hand) But where are the bees? (say words loudly) Hidden inside where nobody sees. (whisper). One, two, three, four, five, (pop out fingers one at a time) There they go, off to the trees.

Dinosaur Museum Fieldtrip

Today was a perfect day at preschool. You see we went to the Dinosaur Museum for our fieldtrip. We had such a wonderful time playing in the sand and exploring the world of prehistoric dinosaurs. I don't think I heard one complaint the whole time we where there. Except from myself about all the other preschools there at the same time. Thank you kids for being so wonderful. P.S. Big Dinosaurs

Dinosaur Song
One dinosaur went out to play
on a spider-web one day.
He had such enormous fun
He called for another dinosaur to come.

This is a photo of our nest with the eggs in it before we ate them. Wish you could have seen them but they were yummy to our tummys!

Today we learned about how some dinosaurs are big and some are small. We talked about where the dinosaurs went and what they use to eat. We also learned that all dinosaurs were hatched from eggs. Then we got to make our own dinosaur eggs out of playdough and put them in a nest. It was a great day and we are all getting excited about our fieldtrip to the museum next week!

Wintertime

Today we learned about wintertime and what comes with it. We learned that the snow is wet and cold and when it melts it makes puddles. We took a poll and found that all 7 of us love to jump in puddles. Then Peyton was the star student and brought the snack. She brought us Scooby Snacks and we all loved them as you can tell. Remember no school on Monday, so we will see you on Wednesday when we start learning about dinosaurs.

Penguins

Today we learned that penguins are seabirds that can not fly. But they are really good swimmers. We also learned their bellys are white to camoflauge them from dangerous animals below. When they look up to the surface and they see their white bellys they mistake them for something else. We had fun as we created these fun feet penguins, and found out most of the kids in the class are tickalish on the bottom of their feets. Especially when you are washing off the black paint. Thanks kiddos for another great day.

Snow Villages

Today we learned about snow villages and how people live in villages with snow all year round. We also created our own little snow globe to remind us how some people live like this all the time. I had a great day today I hope you all did to.

Snow Kids

I'm a little Snow Kid (sung to I'm a little teapot)
I'm a little snow kid, round and fat.
Here are my mittens, here is my hat.
When the sun comes out bright, I melt away.
I'll see you again another day!

Today we studied snow kids! It was so much fun we brought the snow into school and made our own little Snow kid. Then we had an indoor snow ball fight. This was great as it was with cotton balls so there were no injuries. We then made fresh orange juice and enjoyed our snacks. Here is the song we sang just incase some mom needed to help the kids.

Elleigh Nicole Wicks

Elleigh was bone on October 30, 2003 to Marcus and Brooke Wicks. Elleigh has 2 beautiful baby twin sisters. Elleigh is very good at taking care of them and loving them! Elleigh shows this ability of care taking in the classroom by always asking Miss Kristi what is wrong with Treg everytime he is crying (which is quite often). Elleigh also loves dressing up and dancing, singing, and playing with dolls. She also can touch her toes to the back of her head which is simply amazing. We love Elleigh and hope she loves preschool as much as we love her!
